I remember Pete teaching me how to ski. The Angell family took me to A Basin. As everyone was half way down the mountain Pete and I were still at the top. As he so lovingly put it, “There’s only one way down Emmy” He was patient, kind and blunt. He got me down that mountain and then back up time and time again. Now that I think of it the whole “There’s no friends on powder days” didn’t apply to Pete- That takes one heck of a man.
Growing up with Chrissy, Pete became a second father to me. Pete ran off atleast one boyfriend; taught me that men (women and children for that matter) are hard workers. Work hard, play hard. Pete taught me to never want to ditch school again after Kindergarten. Pete was my teacher, he was a dad. I see Pete in all of the Angell family. I see Pete in me. Thank you Pete. You will be missed.
Pat, Chance, Cal, Chrissy you are in my thoughts everyday.
